For years, I found myself creating back up after back up of pictures just to find that my family’s life story was a chaotic mess. Videos of my boys were on multiple devices with no way to know what I really had. Photographs were in boxes in my closet, or on multiple servers or memory cards. 

After the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, the possibility of losing all of the moments that make us a family made me realize that I needed to find a better way to archive my photos and videos.

Circumstances changed and I had to quit my teaching job, so I had time to explore the boxes of photos and video files on my computer.  I researched and learned how to take slides, negatives, prints, and video tapes and convert them into a digital format.

True photo organizing entails the prints and video to be organized, searchable, and shareable. Pictures can fade, and video tapes can break. Digital copies, properly stored, can last forever.
